...but in SC cops "taunting" you, trying to get you to race, etc is illegal. Above story isn't entrapment because you can always slow down, stop, etc. But the "goading" part would get the ticket thrown out here. Cousin is in the SCHP, this came up before as a topic of discussion with him and several of his co-workers at a party once. His supervisor quoted the law chapter and verse - I had it bookmarked at one time for trivia purposes. Almost every state has the local traffic laws online, check them out. *Edited to hopefully be clearer*
